Dalia Energy has announced plans to build a new power plant in Ashdod, Israel. The project will cost 5.3 billion shekels ($1.5 billion) and is being financed by Bank Hapoalim. The plant, called “Avshal,” will be constructed on the site of the current Eshkol power station. [pdf]
