What size solar system do I need to run my RV?

To determine the size of your solar system, consider your energy needs. A 200W system is the bare minimum for basic needs, but for running a vent fan, fridge, charging devices, and using small appliances, you'll need at least a 400W system. If your energy needs are greater, you may need an even larger system.

(Every RV solar system is essentially an RV solar battery charger.) We installed a much larger battery bank, 8 Battle Born 12V 100Ah GC2 Lithium-ion batteries. Our first RV solar system was built with a Tesla Model S car battery at its heart.
